The existence of Marifest was due to the boredom of creative activists and needs of the public. especially in Medan City who want an event that is more unique and not monotonous. As well along with the support of companies and stakeholders, which wanted to have long-term activities that can contribute to business development and the creative economy.

Wasis Adikara as a creator of Festival North Sumatera that serves a different ambience and nature would be the best choice for inspiration. These festival should embrace all the artist, local artists as well to develop their creativity. Marifest giving them a space and opportunity to show and inspired the world.
Marifest also contributed to promote Medan Iconic historical Field was built at 1918 that has been used for central business and many activities to increase economic sector in Medan
